Donn treated Sam and his customers like family; in turn we do the same. Our standard of service: Would we put our family in your airplane? If not, our job isn't complete.

He graduated from college with an AAS degree as an Air Traffic Controller. Sam has experience in many facets of general aviation: at the local FBO as a line tech, working as a GA mechanic's apprentice to receive on-the-job training, and becoming a certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic.

Sam has held his IA (Inspection Authorization) since 2011.

Most importantly, Sam cares about his customers and their airplanes.  He wants things "done right" and refuses to compromise on safety.

She found her love of aviation while learning to fly helicopters.  She holds commercial / instrument - rotor wing ratings, and owned / operated a helicopter company from 2005-2008. After a three year "mommy" leave, she returned to aviation as the Director of Aviation at Aims Community College.

Dusty resigned from her position as Director of Aviation in 2016 to help Hangar 1 through its current exceptional growth period.

Why us?... Educate, Communicate, Aviate

We Educate our Customers

How well do you know your airplane?  You may not be a mechanic, but it is very important that you understand what is happening with your aircraft and that you play an active educated role in its upkeep.

At Hangar 1, we believe active involvement with our customers is vital to sustained safety of flight. We continuously educate our customers on the status of maintenance:  What, if anything, needs to be fixed and why (i.e. how a squawk affects aircraft operation, and ultimately the safety of its passengers).

Working with us prepares you to become a more confident, more knowledgeable, and more safe, owner / pilot.

We Tell it Like it is

Come and see for yourself. When you bring your aircraft to us for inspection or repair, you'll be treated with respect by being given the honest truth.  We'll share our unbiased professional opinion based on over a decade of experience on its maintenance status...teaching, not just telling.

In the words of Sergeant Friday, you'll get "Just the facts ma'am, just the facts."

Maintenance done right

Our love of aviation and care for our customers is why we maintain an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality of service. Our inspections are thorough. We do not skimp on safety or cut corners. You can be assured your aircraft is well maintained by knowledgeable staff and we stand behind our work.

We will keep your aircraft flying....better.
